一、主講人介紹：      

Hyun-Min Kim教授，韓國(guó)釜山大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)院教授，于2021年3月起擔(dān)任韓國(guó)國(guó)家數(shù)學(xué)科學(xué)研究所（National Institute for Mathematical Science (NIMS)）所長(zhǎng)。曾任釜山大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)，釜山大學(xué)產(chǎn)業(yè)數(shù)學(xué)中心主任，韓國(guó)大韓數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)以及韓國(guó)產(chǎn)業(yè)數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)副會(huì)長(zhǎng)。Hyun-Min Kim教授主要從事矩陣方程數(shù)值解法、產(chǎn)業(yè)數(shù)學(xué)與大數(shù)據(jù)問(wèn)題分析與求解等，在SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications, IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, BIT Numerical Mathematics, Journal of Scientific Computing, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, Linear Algebra and its Applications等計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)國(guó)際頂尖和權(quán)威期刊發(fā)表論文30余篇。

二、講座信息

On solutions to some different types of nonlinear matrix equations, and introduction to industrial mathematics in Korea and National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS)：The first part of the talk is concerned with solving nonlinear matrix equations. We consider different types of nonlinear matrix equations, including the existence of the solutions and numerical approaches for computing the solutions. Then we introduce industrial mathematical problems with practical backgrounds in various fields. Current status and research results will be presented.
